Our History

Zakkt was established in 2006 under the name Exact / HR as a direct placement recruiting firm. After significant growth in 2006, we decided to focus solely on technical recruiting to better serve our clients. That led us to a number or successful campaigns related to Engineering, IT and Manufacturing. However, in late 2007 we felt that further focusing our product offering would still better server our customers. That is when we became a dedicated IT staffing firm.

Throughout 2008 we served clients in all areas of IT staffing including software, firmware, networking, cloud services, etc... As with most staffing firms, Exact / HR went through a difficult period during the beginning of the recession in 2008. However, our executive team saw that our clients were shifting focus from hiring to investing in infrastructure.

We had multiple skilled IT professionals within our networking seeking jobs when there weren't any. As a result, we contracted IT projects from our clients which enabled us to utilize our network of professionals as well as continue to server our clients needs. The result of this effort created the IT services firm Zakkt.

Also, during this time we launched a sister company dedicated to small businesses called Webtopia, Inc. Its sole purpose was to serve our smaller clients in a very effective manner. What we learned from our Fortune 500 clients could easily be translated to small business services.

The concept of Webtopia took very well with the business community and increased revenue month over month. With a successful portfolio of IT staffing and projects from Zakkt and small business services with Webtopia, the executives from both companies decided to merge under the Zakkt Professional Services umbrella in 2009.

We are stronger than ever and on a continuous trajectory of growth. Our main focus is to enable our clients to focus on their core business while we handle the daily needs of their IT infrastructure. This includes the people, hardware and intelligence behind an entire IT operation.
