Our History

Zakkt was established in 2006 as a direct placement recruiting firm. After significant growth in 2006, we decided to focus solely on technical recruiting to better serve our clients. That led us to a number or successful campaigns related to Engineering, IT and Manufacturing. However, in late 2007 we felt that further aligning our product with our customers key requirements would still better serve our customers. That is when we became a dedicated technical services firm.

Throughout 2008 we served clients in all areas of technology including, staffing, software development, web services and business consulting. As with most firms, Zakkt went through a difficult period during the beginning of the recession in 2008. However, our executive team saw that our clients were shifting focus from hiring to investing in infrastructure and this shift help us grow other areas of our business during that period.

We had multiple, skilled technical professionals within our network seeking jobs when there weren't any in the market. As a result, we contracted technical projects from our clients which enabled us to utilize our network of professionals and create jobs in an otherwise down economy..

Also, during this time we launched a sister company dedicated to small business services called Webtopia, Inc. Its sole purpose addresses the IT challenges faced by our smaller clients. What we learned from our Fortune 500 clients could easily be translated to our small business services.

The concept of Webtopia took very well with the business community and has increased revenue month over month since its launch. With a successful portfolio of IT staffing and projects from Zakkt and small business IT services with Webtopia, we decided to merge under the Zakkt Technical Services umbrella in 2009.

We are stronger than ever and on a continuous trajectory of growth. Our main focus is to enable our clients to focus on their core business while we handle the daily needs of their technical infrastructure. This includes the people, hardware and intelligence behind an entire technical operation.
